I think you have considered this well, your audience is specified as is the channel. You understand that the tone of voice needs to reflect the concept and genre of robotics.
It would be useful to see examples of idents or ads form the Sci-fi channel you mentioned.
You have considered a wide veriety of robotics genres. However again you need to find more examples of idents and existing work surrounding your subject matter.
You have thought about possible colours, fonts and imagery which is good. You should probably visualize this so we as designers can see it for what it is, that will make it easier to make a judgment.
And once again, find examples of other work, I think this will unlock a few more ideas.
Good to see that you have a clearly defined subject matter with a good understanding of imagery. You clearly understand your audience - evident through your choice of channel. As Ed has said above, it would be good to see some existing examples of SciFi Channel idents. Your visual research is good (posters) but it may be beneficial to look at video and motion graphics - intros to movies etc. This may spawn some new avenues to explore. Your design direction has been defined but you seem to have only looked at one typeface. Although a very nice one you it could be seen as a bit cartoonie. Possibly explore sans serif type - like used on serial numbers etc. This may provide you with a more convincing feel to the idents. Another thing to look at could be faux data visualization - animated shapes like when you have a POV shot from inside a robots head. Nice project :)

Instant subject matter statement. This is good…
