Cupcakes~

Taking a break from superheros and other comic related things to make a set of invitations for my baby sisters 2nd birthday party. I wanted to do a quick day brief and try my hand at working on something that was not related to comic books. It also means I can delve more into layout and type skills which I need to brush up on a little bit.

The theme for the invitations is to be cupcakes and the colours chosen where pinks/lilacs and other pastel girl colours. (which, is not my cup of tea but it's not my party...)

First attempt at a cupcake. Pretty dismal and I wanted something that was a bit more animated.

I liked the almost cartoon to the feel of this one.

Made it a bit more playful with a cherry and bow tie.

Textures with the out line at 100%

Cupcake with the outline at 60% and I think it works quite well. Now all I have to do is email it off and see what my "client" (mum) thinks of it.
