Make Mine Marvel

Finally got the box printed and the whole thing photographed. Oh the wonders of technology because the box is a flimsy appalling piece of craftsmanship. Luckily you can't really tell in these photo's.

Marvel Box Mock Up

Mock up's for the box that my Marvel Novelizations will sit in.

The first one I did was just a small black and white printout with the original design. However, I felt that there was too much white space and the characters did not fit well on the page.

So I made a bigger mock up. This time, instead of just using the characters I zoomed in on the textures that make up the costumes and applied those instead.

Posters and Bookmarks

Posters:

I made an Avengers poster as well combining Hulk, Iron Man and Spider-Man. This is because I didn't know if the singular characters would work on their own. However, I think all of them have turned out to be quite affective.

Bookmarks:

Now I just need to get these printed out, make up the box and mock up the distribution.

Books Complete!

And I'm quite pleased with how they've turned out.

To do list:
  • Box
  • Posters
  • Bookmarks
  • distribution

X-men

I made Xavier and Magneto circular because it fit better on the page rather than the image above it. It also meant I could place the lightning bolt further down.

Oh Onslaught...

When I first started reading comics it was during the Onslaught saga in which Professor X and Magneto had merged to make this one creature hell bent on taking over the World...or something, I was 8 and was more interested in the art than the story.

For the X-men cover I decided just to use Xavier and Magneto as when I look at the story from the movie I see two old men, each waging a war but going about it in different (yet similar ways). So, an almost face off esque cover has emerged.

I'm not quite sure at this stage if it's going to work or not, especially in context with the books.

Also, I've drawn two version of Magneto's helmet as I accidentally drew the only from Wolverine and X-men first time around. Whoops. Paul pointed out that I'm going to be the only that knows but...That's not the point, and no someone WILL notice if I have the wrong helmet.

See, completely different.

And the Xavier one:

Fact: Cerebro (the device on his head) is infact a sentient piece of technology from the planet Shi'ar.

Books!

4 out 5 done. Last one to do is the x-men which shouldn't take me to long considering that I've done two today and printed/mocked them up for the book covers.

Hulk

And that's the Hulk done. I'm going to print these 3 out and see what they look like/see if anything needs to be amended. I think this one might be too big but I won't know unless I print it.
